I use different mediums, such as clay, quilting and photography to express myself. Within each of these is a wealth of opportunity for diversity. For example, with clay you determine size, shape, design, and texture. Each of these can be explored as single elements or in combinations. The opportunities are endless!

My Inspiration
My journey began when I discovered that an interest could be transformed into something others could enjoy or appreciate. My "maker's mark" is a butterfly, symbolizing the metamorphosis of an idea into something beautiful...no matter the trials you've faced.
Just the simple things, like selling tomatoes door-to-door as a child from our family garden demonstrated the value of offering fresh, homegrown merchandise. Years later, the experience grew into creating quality, handmade goods for the marketplace.

Making pottery, taking photographs and sewing my next masterpiece are not only great past-times, but a serious creative outlet.
As a college student taking art classes, I loved learning and became fascinated with the process of making art. It's easy to spend hours on just one project and then, suddenly, check the clock and realize I’ve been in the zone a little too long! (Or have I?!)
